FIFTH DAY: MARINE LIFE (ll)

   FUNGI

They are species which live in marine or estuarine environments. Over 1500 species of fungi are known more or less. They parasite marine algae or animals or are saprobes on algae, sea wood, sea grasses and can be found in sea foam. There can be appreciated some examples of fungi above:




PLANTS AND ALGAE
There is a great variety of plants under the sea and ocean. Marine plants and algae are known as seaweed. . Aquatic plants and algae provides an important habitat for life under the water. These seaweeds creates underwater kelp forests: Look at the pictures to know different kinds of algae and aquatic plants as well as kelp forests:
